Bolton: Hey, how ’bout if Obama debates Palin?

Former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton isn’t buying the Obama campaign’s knocks on Sarah Palin’s lack of experience, saying the criticisms are invalid, and offering an unorthodox proposal for the debate commission.

“The apples-to-apples comparison is the top of the ticket, where you have a contrast between John McCain and Barack Obama,” he said. “If Obama has a problem with her foreign policy credentials, maybe we can arrange for the two of them to debate.”

Bolton also cited Palin’s work as chairperson of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission as a state position that requires more international knowledge than many others because energy issues encompass national security concerns and dealings with the global market and foreign governments.
