New Cruz ad: Kids play dolls with Trump action figure

Ted Cruz released a new ad Tuesday portraying Donald Trump as an action figure who likes to pretend he’s a Republican, and take people’s houses with eminent domain.

“Look, I’ve got the Trump action figure,” a child actor says in the spot, “Playing Trump.”

“No way, that’s yuge,” another kid replies. One kid asks the other what the Trump action figure does, and the first kid says, “He pretends to be a Republican.”

A child voices the Trump doll, “I like bailouts for the banks.”

“I gave money to Pelosi, Reid, and Anthony Weiner,” child adds. Then the Trump doll approaches a toy house, and says, “That’s a lousy house, I’m going to take your house with eminent domain.” The kids proceed to smash the house.

The Cruz ad closes, “We wouldn’t tolerate these values in our children. Why would we want them in our president?”

The ad is the latest sign that the former friendship between Trump and Cruz has thoroughly soured as the two have become direct rivals, currently polling first and second, respectively, in the next primary state of South Carolina, which votes Feb. 20.
