Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid

The Nevada Senator is viewed unfavorably by 41 percent of Democrats and favorably by only 22 percent, according to pollster Scott Rasmussen. Another 8 percent regard Reid as very unfavorable.

Reid’s lack of effectiveness in generating support among members of his own party helps explain why the Congress he helps lead is at historically low approval ratings with the general public. Rasmussen finds that only 9 percent of likely voters give Congress positive ratings, compared to 51 percent, who say Congress is doing a poor job.
