President Trump immediately responded to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi after she endorsed opening an impeachment inquiry.
Democrats have called for impeachment of Trump following reports of a whistleblower complaint that alleged Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.
“Today, I’m announcing the House of Representatives is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry,” Pelosi told reporters. “The president must be held accountable. No one is above the law.”
Trump said in a tweet her endorsement ruined and demeaned a successful day at the United Nations “with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!” In a following tweet, Trump said, Democrats “never even saw the transcript of the call. A total Witch Hunt!” He then tweeted a video claiming the “one sole focus” of Democrats is to impeach him.
Such an important day at the United Nations, so much work and so much success, and the Democrats purposely had to ruin and demean it with more breaking news Witch Hunt garbage. So bad for our Country!
