President Trump trolled a Democratic rival from New York with a mocking video Friday evening, taking another victory lap over former special counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony this week and a growing rift between Democratic leaders on impeachment.
The short clip, which features a sorrowful tune, zooms in on a solemn-looking House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler during a Democratic leadership press conference.
The video then shows Trump saying, “The Democrats had nothing. And now they have less than nothing.”

Nadler, a New York Democrat, shares a feud with Trump, a Manhattan businessman, that dates back decades.
Over two hearings before the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees on Wednesday, Mueller looked shaky during parts of the hearing and failed to recall key facts from his report.
Democrats now find themselves at an impasse on whether to engage in an impeachment inquiry against the president. Although the number has grown to nearly 100 Democrats supporting such action, a poll out Friday shows Mueller’s testimony on the Russia investigation did little to move the needle on support for impeaching Trump.
Although House Speaker Nancy Pelosi remains against impeachment, Nadler gave a different signal at a Friday press conference. He said the Judiciary Committee has “in effect” begun an impeachment inquiry.
Nadler filed court documents Friday seeking grand jury material from the Mueller report, which Mueller was required under the law to withhold from the public. In them, Nadler said, “articles of impeachment are under consideration as part of the Committee’s investigation, although no final determination has been made.”
