Warren Buffett has put down his marker: Hillary Clinton is going to be the next president.
The billionaire investor and chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway is willing to wager some of his money on it too, the outspoken Clinton supporter said at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit Tuesday.
“I will bet money on it. And I don’t do that easily,” said Buffett, according to CNN.
Buffett added that her announcement to run for president is imminent.
He was unsure who her Republican opponent would be, saying “there are going to be a lot of people who want to do it.”
Buffett, who is worth nearly $59 billion, has long supported Clinton. He donated $2,000 to her Senate campaign in 2000, before supporting both Clinton and then-Sen. Barack Obama during the 2008 Democratic nomination.
A RealClearPolitics average of polls has Clinton leading the potential 2016 Democratic field by 53 points.
