The Redskins want to model their 3-4 defense after the Pittsburgh Steelers. If so, one longtime scout said they have a chance to grab a nose tackle who is a lot like the Steelers’ Casey Hampton.
USC’s Jurrell Casey hasn’t garnered much attention, but Dave Razzano, who was a scout for 23 years — and who watched his teams play in five Super Bowls — calls him a sleeper.

Some scouts and evaluators consider him more of a 4-3 defensive tackle that can play over the nose. At 6-foot, 300 pounds he does not have the size some coordinators want in a 3-4 nose tackle.
But Razzano said in three years he’ll be the best nose tackle from this draft.
“He’s a prototype nose man, a lot like Casey Hampton from the Steelers. He’s short and powerful,” Razzano said. “Boy, I was just watching him again and he’s a force. I don’t hear many people talking about him. He’s getting overlooked.”
