ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — A mother who left her 4-year-old son in a car while she worked at a Rochester-area restaurant has been sentenced to one year of probation.

Thelma Louise Edwards had previously pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child in exchange for the sentence handed down Thursday.
