Police have arrested a New Jersey man for allegedly doing “donuts” on President Trump’s golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Richard McEwan, 26, was charged Tuesday with criminal mischief for the $17,000 damage done to the putting greens on the president’s course. A spokesperson for the Trump organization told the Washington Post that McEwan should be “prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
The county prosecutor’s office said the first incident involving the “donuts” occurred Sept. 3 and the second occurrence was on Sunday.
“Upon arrival, Bedminster Police officers were advised that around 5:30 p.m., an employee of the golf course reported seeing a vehicle doing ‘donuts’ on the 11th hole of the golf course,” a press release said. “The employee stated he was standing on the fairway when he heard loud music playing, turned and observed a Ford sedan occupied by one person doing ‘donuts’ on top of the 11th hole. A search of the area yielded a black piece of plastic labeled Ford that was left behind at the scene.”
McEwan was also arrested two weeks ago for allegedly breaking into music star Taylor Swift’s home. He was charged with breaking and entering along with trespassing.
He was released and will appear in court at a later date according to prosecutors.
