Scarborough: Trump ‘bats–t crazy’ because he’s ‘insecure’

MSNBC host and former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough delved into the psyche of Donald Trump and found what he said is the root of his rage.

“He is insecure,” Scarborough said in an interview with Politico published Thursday. “He is a guy that is a Queens [New York] guy and as [Vanity Fair editor] Graydon Carter says, he is from the Outer Boroughs. It has always driven him bats—- crazy.”

Scarborough said in the interview that he has known Trump for at least a decade and that he considers him a friend, though the GOP nominee for president has recently attacked him and his MSNBC show for being critical of his candidacy.

“So, Donald Trump comes in and in his mind, takes over Manhattan’s real-estate market and gives money to all the right charities and all the right events and he’s still not allowed in ‘The Club,'” Scarborough said. “So he uses that resentment, unlike others, like a fuel … And that’s actually Trump’s strength.”

The Trump campaign did not respond to a request for comment from the Washington Examiner.
