First lady Melania Trump is focused on her duties as a mother in wake of porn star Stormy Daniels’ interview with “60 Minutes,” her spokeswoman said.
“She’s focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on future projects,” Trump’s communications director Stephanie Grisham told NBC News when asked whether Trump watched the interview or had any comment about the allegations.
As President Trump left his Florida resort Sunday afternoon to return to the White House, Melania and their son stayed behind for a previously planned vacation.
“The first lady will be staying in Florida as is their tradition for spring break,” White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters explained.
The White House has denied the president had an affair with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford.
Grisham appeared to refer to the interview as “speculation and salacious gossip” in a tweet after “60 Minutes” aired.
While I know the media is enjoying speculation & salacious gossip, Id like to remind people there’s a minor child who’s name should be kept out of news stories when at all possible.
