Our own Conn Carroll suggests that former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman, R, is the strongest candidate for the 2012 McCain award, for being the moderate Republican whom the media lionize. Conn wrote this yesterday, without knowing that the Washington Post would offer up this fluffy profile on Huntsman today, as “a cool version of Mitt Romney” and “a motorcycle-riding former diplomat who once played in a rock-and-roll band called Wizard.”
