House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, said Wednesday he has scheduled a hearing for next week with former FBI Director James Comey, though he is still trying to get in touch with him.
“Officially noticed a hearing for next Wed at 9:30 a.m. ET with former FBI Dir Comey. But I still need to speak with him … evidently has a new #,” Chaffetz wrote on Twitter.
A notice on the committee’s website said the hearing will be on “oversight of the FBI’s independence.”
