President Trump once again touted his support on Wednesday for incumbent Sen. Luther Strange of Alabama.

Trump tweeted again later in the evening encouraging gun owners to vote for Strange because he is endorsed by the NRA.

Strange is set to compete against conservative Judge Roy Moore on Sept. 26 in a GOP runoff after finishing behind Moore in the August primary.
Trump announced on Twitter last week that he would be joining Strange during an Alabama rally on Friday.
