This victim of bicycle theft just might get revenge and his bike back.
A student who discovered his grey Giant bicycle stolen recently posted a cleverly cruel letter addressed to the “douchebag bike thief” at the site of the theft, reports the New York Daily News.
In particular, the letter offers the thief great incentive to return the bike to its proper owner.
“Hi there!” writes the victim of the theft. “You stole my bike last night, admittedly I was kind of ticked off about this, but less so when I realized that you left your face on camera at the station. And also you may not have realized but this is not the first bike I’ve had stolen, so I put a tracer inside the bike frame. So unfortunately for you, I know where you live.”
The student asks the thief to “please” return the bike within the week or face the consequences of stealing another person’s stuff.
“In case you’ve taken more than one bike, mine was the grey Giant,” concludes the letter. “Have a good day!”
The scribe signs the note from “the poor student with no money, but a working printer.”
On Saturday, bike technology company Blaze tweeted out a photo of the letter with the accompanying text, “This must have been the best feeling ever.”
Such a feeling will undoubtably be made even better if the thief does eventually return the bike.
