CNN correspondent: Sean Hannity is Trump’s ‘secretary of state’

CNN chief national correspondent John King teased Fox News’ Sean Hannity for being a part of GOP nominee Donald Trump’s Cabinet.

“I was talking about this last night, 11 o’clock Monday night, his final event was supposed to be a rally in New Hampshire with Trump Secretary of State Sean Hannity,” King said to giggles from a panel Sunday morning.

When it was pointed out that a Hannity nomination to become the nation’s top diplomat hasn’t yet been confirmed by the Senate, King replied, “I don’t know if he could get through the Senate.”

Hannity, who hosts the late evening “Hannity” program on Fox News during the week, has defended Trump on a number of controversies impacting his campaign, including the 2005 lewd video leak, the media’s portrayal of Trump and Trump’s past support for the Iraq War. Trump has been a consistent guest on Hannity’s show through his campaign.
