The Montgomery Parks Urban Tree Stewards program will host its first 2012 volunteer training session June 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Argyle Park and Recreation Center. Volunteers will participate in a tree identification course and a field session in the park. The program trains volunteers as a part of the Countywide Tree Steward Program through the parks department. Volunteers scout selected parks in order to keep parks healthy and beautiful.
