The Columbia Pro Cantare chorus will perform the Christmas portion and selections from Parts II and III of Handel?s “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Tom Benjamin, an internationally known composer and former member of the music faculty at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore City, will present a free preconcert lecture from 6:30 to 7 p.m.
The concert features nationally known soprano Amy Van Roekel, mezzo-soprano Amanda Nisenson, tenor Mark Schowalter and baritone Lester Lynch. The production will be under the direction of Frances Motyca Dawson.
