The Democratic National Committee gave real estate tycoon and reality TV star Donald Trump a sarcastic welcome to the 2016 presidential race.
“Today Donald Trump became the second major Republican presidential candidate to announce for president in two days,” DNC press secretary Holly Shulman said in a statement. “He adds some much-needed serious that has been lacking from the GOP field, and we look forward to hearing more about his ideas for the nation.”
Trolling? Or perhaps the statement is respectful because Trump donated $314,000 to Democrats between 1989 and 2010.
