Federal employees have been told to stay off the road until 9 a.m. Monday and that they will be excused from work until 11 a.m.
Expecting roads to be icy, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management told non-emergency federal employees that they will be granted administrative leave for the difference between the time they are usually expected to be at the office at 11 a.m. Those who can work from home should do so for the entire workday, the agency announced.
Emergency employees are expected to show up for work on time unless told otherwise. Employees on pre-approved leave will be charged leave for the full day regardless of the late start time.
