The American action star and martial artist one-upped his international counterpart in a holiday-themed parody of the well-known Volvo advertisement. The video from Hungarian firm Delov Digital, “Greetings from Chuck,” features Norris balancing 11 uniformed men in the shape of a Christmas tree standing atop his cowboy hat, all while he does the splits between a couple of flying jets.
Thus, of course, fulfilling the American requirement that we “go big.”
The narration quotes a fitting passage from “Hamlet” before giving way to a Christmas and New Year’s greeting.
The original Van Damme ad has become a spoof sensation, inspiring such videos as a campaign commercial and Channing Tatum injuring himself.
