Clinton scandal biggest since Watergate: Trump

Donald Trump says the scandal over Hillary Clinton’s emails is the biggest since Watergate in the 1970s.

Trump speaking in Colorado Saturday said the FBI’s reopening of the case into her use of a private email server on Friday makes it the “biggest political scandal since Watergate.”

His mere mentioning of the scandal was immediately taken over by chants by the crowd of “lock her up” that forced him to stop talking for almost a minute.

“And it’s everybody’s deepest hope that justice, at last, can be properly delivered,” the Republican nomiee said to cheers from the audience.

“Hillary has nobody to blame but herself for her mounting legal troubles,” he added, calling her actions criminal in nature.

“Her criminal action was willful deliberate intentional and purposeful,” he said. She set up her own private email server as Secretary of State “for the obvious purpose of shielding her criminal conduct from pubic disclosure and exposure.”

But, Trump added, “That didn’t work.”

FBI Director James Comey said Friday that the discovery of over 1,000 emails in an unrelated case spurred him to revisit the investigation into Clinton’s use of the server.
