The Maryland State Medical Examiner has ruled that a man found in a burning car in West Baltimore was the victim of a homicide.
Baltimore police were called to the 2100 block of Allendale Road at 8:35 p.m. Monday for a report of a burning car, said Agent Donny Moses, an agency spokesman.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze on a 1998 Lexus and opened the trunk without force, police said.
Inside, authorities found the body of an unidentified man, who on Tuesday was ruled to have died of asphyxiation, Moses said.
This brings Baltimore?s homicide count to 241 this year, compared with 219 during the same time last year.
Police have no motives or suspects in the death, Moses said.
