Davante Adams being investigated by police after shoving photographer


A photographer who was seen on video being shoved by Davante Adams filed a police report Monday night.

The man had been carrying equipment when Adams, who was leaving with the other Las Vegas Raiders after their defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, pushed him, according to footage. After being shoved by Adams, the unidentified man filed a police report with the Kansas City Police Department, according to NFL Media.

“Narrative: The victim is a photographer at the Chiefs/Raiders game,” according to a statement from the KCPD cited by NFL Media. “At the end of the game, he was pushed to the ground causing injury. … The injuries are preliminarily thought to be non-life threatening. The incident will be investigated by our Assault Unit detectives, upon completion they will coordinate with the applicable city or state prosecutor to determine any applicable charges.”

The Las Vegas Raiders player is also facing disciplinary action, which could include a suspension, for shoving the cameraman, according to the outlet.


Adams apologized for his shoving on Tuesday morning. The Las Vegas Raiders lost to the Chiefs by a score of 30-29, and Adams stated in his apology that he had been frustrated with how the game ended.

Adams scored two touchdowns and 124 receiving yards on three catches during the Kansas City game. The Raiders now have a 1-4 record and lead the division, while the Chiefs are at the bottom with 4-1, according to NBC Sports.
