‘Unbelievable spirit’: Florida boaters celebrate Trump with Intracoastal Waterway parade

Florida saw another boat parade for President Trump, this time in Jacksonville through the Intracoastal Waterway.

Hundreds of boats gathered for a ride from Little Jetties to St. Augustine on Saturday, waving pro-Trump flags and showing support for the president.

“It’s a great event, because it demonstrates the First Amendment of the Constitution, or a political activist can go out in public and say what they have to say and how they feel and who they can support, whether it be Republican or Democrat,” Ray Shaw, a Navy veteran, told First Coast News.

The president’s son, Eric Trump, tweeted out a video of the procession, saying, “Happening Now: Trump Boat Parade in Jacksonville Florida! There is unbelievable spirit and love in our great country!!”

Supporters of President Trump threw another boat parade called “Trumptilla” down the Intracoastal Waterway in Palm Beach County, Florida, earlier this month. An estimated 1,200 boats participated in the parade and caught the president’s attention. Carlos Gavidia organized the event that spanned eight miles from Jupiter to Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach after he received pushback from a neighbor for flying a Trump flag on his boat.
