Union workers at UBS Colorado approve contract

GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — The United Food and Commercial Workers Union says employees at JBS USA’s Greeley meatpacking plant have overwhelmingly approved a five-year contract that includes wage increases and changes in the company’s health-care proposal.

The Greeley Tribune reported Wednesday (http://tinyurl.com/nu7r6ve ) that Local 7 members ratified the agreement with 97 percent voting yes. The contract covers 3,000 workers.
