The Greater Washington Board of Trade issued a release last week advocating the above-ground rail option to Dulles International Airport.
The board’s executive committee noted the Virginia Department of Transportation’s “recent accomplishments … such as the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and Springfield Mixing Bowl, and expressed confidence that VDOT has taken a careful and deliberative approach on this project and should not be second-guessed every step of the way.”
Only one problem: Although the mixing bowl and Woodrow Wilson Bridge project were indeed VDOT projects, VDOT has nothing to do with Dulles Rail.
The agency is the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation.
