Are Americans getting even fatter?
A new report from the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation estimates that more than 44 percent of people in every state would be obese — not fat, but clinically obese — by 2030, up from today’s 36 percent. Mississippi would remain the fattest state, with an obesity rate of 66 percent by 2030, up from today’s 35 percent. Colorado, the skinniest state with about 20 percent obesity, would jump to 44 percent.
