The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office arrested two San Antonio locals as a result of pictures posted to social media.
David Anakin Guerra, 17, posted several photos to his Instagram profile flashing cash, guns, and THC cartridges. Police became aware of the posts on Tuesday and announced his arrest on Wednesday.
“BCSO Covert, Intel, and Street Crimes Units began their investigation regarding the activity that was reportedly posted to Instagram,” the sheriff’s office’s Facebook post read. “The BCSO units were subsequently able to locate David Guerra and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle he was driving. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies located hash oil, a loaded handgun, and cash.”
Deputies went on to find two handguns, a high-powered pistol, cocaine, hash oil, marijuana, and $15,000 in cash in Guerra’s residence.
Guerra faces charges of possession of a controlled substance of one to four grams, reckless conduct, and unlawfully carrying a weapon — one felony and two misdemeanors.
The posts also led to the arrest of 21-year-old Ezra Guerra, who lived with Guerra. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance between one and four grams with intent to deliver and possession of marijuana of four ounces to five pounds. Both are felonies.
