Relief. That was the feeling P.J. Daniels had when he found out he had made the final Ravens roster.
“You?ve just got to praise the man above and be happy about the position that you?re in and just make the best of it,” Daniels said. “This is just the beginning. This is not theend.”

Daniels, taken in the fourth round of the NFL Draft in April, got his preseason off to a rough start with two fumbles in the opener, but he said he learned from his mistakes.
Head coach Brian Billick kept several young players on the roster, including undrafted free agent Ronnie Prude at defensive back.
“This is a mature group,” Billick said. “I thought they handled camp very, very well, so I have a lot of confidence in the young guys that are going to be pushed up into a playing position, primarily on that 45-man roster, come game day to be able to step up and do the job. It?s a very mature, young group.”
Ex-Ravens catch on: After being waived by the Ravens this weekend, quarterback Brian St. Pierre and linebacker Roderick Green have found new homes.
St. Pierre signed with AFC North rival Pittsburgh?s practice squad Monday. St. Pierre started his NFL career with the Steelers in 2003. He immediately addresses a depth problem since starter Ben Roethlisberger will miss the season opener after having an emergency appendectomy Sunday.
Green will join former Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Nolan in San Francisco, where Nolan is the head coach.
“Physically, [Green] is a gifted guy,” Nolan told the Associated Press. “Very strong, and he has been a good pass rusher. I would like for him to be an every-down player, but we will see what he gives us.”
Quote of the week: Steve McNair has a lot of pressure to deal with as the new Ravens quarterback, but he?s philosophical.
“Everybody says that I?m the savior for the team, but I think the Ravens are a savior for me,” McNair said. “I?m in a situation a lot of veteran quarterbacks would want to be in. I?m not trying to be Superman, and I don?t have to be for us to win.”
