Nancy Pelosi is at her spinning wheel again, madly spinning the threads of untruth.
As the mistress of the progressive line, she has taken the unconstitutional Obamacare HHS contraception-coverage mandate that violated the sacred space of religious liberty and spun it into something unrecognizable.
The debate over the Fluke fluke is no accident. It is a diversion, an attempt to pull the wool over our eyes. Pelosi’s mantra is to keep the people spinning blindly so no one can pin the tail on the donkey.
Looks like she is succeeding, too. The nation is now discussing this woe-is-me Georgetown law student, Sandra Fluke, who is allegedly to be denied her – free – contraceptives by the bad conservative men and pious women.
Lost in the Pelosi spin is the pivotal issue that the executive branch has yet again overstepped its constitutional bounds.
Gone is the discussion of the First Amendment’s sacred guarantee of religious expression and practice. Gone is the momentum that previously lit this latest of many grossly intrusive measures inspired by Obamacare.
Now highlighted throughout the land at Internet speed is the misconstrued message that Americans need and deserve free birth control, courtesy of our Big Daddy Government in Washington.
Supplanted is the American virtues of colonial self-determination and Wild West independence. Blighted is the merit of American Exceptionalism born of freedom from intrusive government.
Progressives are cunning, baffling, insidious and triumphant, and the cultural elite and liberal mainstream media are joined at the hip. There lies the irony, at least for the latter.
The liberal mainstream media can tolerate a blatant intrusion into religious liberty – damn those pious people anyway. But what will be their reaction when freedom of the press is intruded upon by Obama in an equally blatant manner?
Jodi Kantor in her book, “The Obamas” states that First Lady Michelle Obama doesn’t know if “true change” can be accomplished through the legislative process.
No legislative process? True change? What’s next? Tyranny, that’s what. Then the treasured freedom of the press won’t be the only thing we will have lost. The progressive spinning wheels will be going at full speed creating new blankets with which to smother the voices of America.
Make no mistake, this is next. The die has been caste, the needle threaded, and the purveyors of such a plan are participating in their own demise. Pride comes before the fall.
The Fluke fluke is a brilliant spin that has taken the focus off of the main event – the violation of checks and balances within the government.
Making the contraception contraption a woman’s issue is not the pertinent story – it’s the trap. Spinning conservatives as anti-women is the designated diversion from the real truth – conservatives are pro-liberty and anti- big government.
The conservatives, the Republicans, the Tea Party, the independents, the constitutionalists and the libertarians must combine forces and act as craftily as the progressives. We must pin the tail on the donkey – before it’s too late.
