Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus urged religious voters to stick with the GOP at the Values Voters Summit in Washington, D.C., on Friday.
The GOP chairman argued Donald Trump is “poised to win back the White House” in 60 days and warned voters against considering the Democratic Party.
“It’s not the Democratic Party of 1992, 1996, or even 2000,” Priebus said. “This is a party racing to adopt Bernie Sanders’ wish list of socialist policies. Donald Trump is standing in the breach to make sure that that doesn’t happen.”
Priebus argued that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton is someone, “who lives above the law and thinks holding public office is a get-rich-quick strategy.” He also said the Supreme Court vacancy, created by Justice Antonin Scalia’s death, should be motivation enough for the audience to vote for Trump.
