President Trump renewed his calls for a “travel ban” from countries he deems a danger to the United States in a tweet Monday night.
“That’s right, we need a TRAVEL BAN for certain DANGEROUS countries, not some politically correct term that won’t help us protect our people!” Trump tweeted.

Trump has received criticism, most notably from the husband of top aide Kellyanne Conway, for the way he has talked about his immigration and travel executive order on social media. The order has been held up by federal judges in rulings set to be appealed to the Supreme Court.
“These tweets may make some ppl feel better, but they certainly won’t help OSG get 5 votes in SCOTUS, which is what actually matters. Sad,” George Conway tweeted.
The president earlier on Monday had tweeted: “The Justice Dept. should have stayed with the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C.”
