Trump dreams of facing Beto O’Rourke in 2020

President Trump says he’d welcome a 2020 presidential contest that pits him against former Rep. Beto O’Rourke.

“I’d I love to have Biden, I would love to have Bernie, I would love to have Beto,” Trump said in an interview with Fox Business Network that aired Friday. “Beto seems to be the one the press has chosen, the press seems to have have chosen Beto. And when I watch Beto, I say, ‘We could dream about that.'”

Trump blasted O’Rourke for opposing a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.

“Beto comes out and he says, ‘Let’s take down the wall.’ If you ever took down the wall this country would be overrun, okay?” Trump said.

When asked if he thinks capitalism versus socialism will be a major campaign issue, Trump said, “No, I think it’s competence,” he said.

O’Rourke trails former Vice President Joe Biden, Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., in the latest polls among Democrats.
