Trump backs ‘Right-To-Try’ experimental drugs for the terminally ill [VIDEO]

In a meeting with pharmaceutical executives on Tuesday, President Donald Trump signaled that he wants to make changes to the way the FDA administers drugs to the terminally ill.

“One thing that’s always disturbed me: They come up with a new drug for a patient who’s terminal, and the FDA says we can’t… approve the drug, because we don’t want to hurt the patient,” President Trump said. “But the patient is not going to live more than four weeks, [anyway]. So, we’re going to be changing a lot of the rules.”

Vice President Mike Pence supported Right-to-Try as Governor of Indiana. He made a campaign promise to a boy whose father was dying of ALS that the administration would push to make changes.
