This week’s Liberal Media Scream features the fight over the caravan of illegal immigrants on the U.S.-Mexico border.
Only this time the battle on TV wasn’t over laws or President Trump’s border wall but over what to call them and the liberal refrain that nobody can be “illegal” despite how the government refers to unauthorized aliens.
Sunday morning on MSNBC’s “Up” with David Gura (with substitute host Yasmin Vossoughian), Maria Hinojosa, anchor of NPR’s Latino USA, condemned outgoing White House chief of staff John Kelly for referring to “illegal immigrants.”
Picking up on an interview Kelly did with the Los Angeles Times, Hinojosa scolded: “In that interview he immediately says — first of all he calls them ‘illegal immigrants.’ There’s no such thing as an illegal immigrant, sir, no illegal human being in the planet … General Kelly, there’s no such thing as an illegal human being. How many times do we have to say this? Get your grammar correct, okay?”
Omg and @Maria_Hinojosa is in too… so glad people are calling out #Kelly lies.. just another one trying to control his reputation after he’s allowed @realDonaldTrump to expose his bigotry.. “There are no illegal human beings” #uppers pic.twitter.com/P7aGpYYNHz

Media Research Center Vice President of Research Brent Baker explains our weekly pick: “Talk about a disconnect between the public and the very liberal media elite of National Public Radio where, apparently, reality cannot intrude upon politically correct thinking. If you enter the United States illegally you are an ‘illegal’ immigrant, no matter what Hinojosa wishes were true.”
Rating: Four out of five screams.
