Chris Daughtry found himself in a most unusual situation Wednesday night at the RIAA/ONE Campaign party. The former “American Idol” contestant turned hard rock star was introduced by none other than Bill Frist, the mild-mannered former Senate Republican leader.
Before Frist launched into his spiel about eradicating disease and poverty in Africa, the crowd heard him say, rather incongruously, “Are you ready for Chris Daughtry? He’ll be out within five minutes…”
