On Wednesday, the Canadian pipeline company that was building the Keystone XL pipeline canceled the project. This isn’t surprising: President Joe Biden spared no time to revoke the pipeline’s permit through an executive order.

TC Energy released a statement detailing its decision and highlighting a fact that has been ignored by most media coverage of the cancellation story: “We developed … a first-of-its-kind, industry leading plan to operate the pipeline with net-zero emissions throughout its life-cycle.”
