Sen. Al Franken claimed a report Wednesday which asserts he will resign on Thursday is “not accurate,” and he has not reached a final decision yet.
“Not accurate, @mpr @Stowydad,” the Minnesota Democrat tweeted Wednesday afternoon. “No final decision has been made and the Senator is still talking with his family. Please update your story.”

Minnesota Public Radio reported that an official who spoke both with Franken and his staff said that the senator would resign during a planned announcement Thursday after dozens of Democratic senators called on him to resign after several women accused Franken of sexual misconduct, including two new accusers on Wednesday.
