Alec Baldwin: ‘If you vote for Trump again, you are mentally ill’

Actor Alec Baldwin attacked President Trump and his supporters on social media, calling people who vote for him again in 2020 “mentally ill.”

“Trump has reached for, and nearly gained, a control of the federal govt unrivaled by other Presidents,” the 30 Rock actor wrote. “He fired huge numbers of govt professionals. He steamrolled the Congress, whenever possible. And now this. If you vote for Trump again, you are mentally ill.”

Baldwin’s tweet comes a little more than a week after the actor suggested Trump is more dangerous than the coronavirus. “The virus in the US began in January of 2017. The vaccine arrives in November,” he tweeted on March 31.

A few days before that, Baldwin referred to the president as “the pandemic that threatens the world.”

Baldwin and many other celebrities have criticized Trump’s response to the coronavirus, which has infected over 475,000 people in the United States and has been associated with about 16,700 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.
