Man gets 15 years for robbery

A Baltimore man was sentenced to 15 years in prison Wednesday for multiple counts of armed robbery.

Baltimore City Circuit Judge John Prevas sentenced Charles Patterson, 27, after a jury in March convicted Patterson and Antwan Smith, 23, of three counts of robbery with a deadly weapon. Smith received a 30-year prison sentence earlier this month,

The jury acquitted the two men of the Oct. 23, 2005 murder of Anthony Heck.

That day, Patterson and Smith robbed or attempted to rob Lamar Davis, James Anderson, Charlotte Johnson and Tycara Johnson in the area of 4100 block of Cleve Court of the Brooklyn Homes in South Baltimore, prosecutors said.
