GOP presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum landed on the cover of The New Yorker this week in a clear homage to the tale of Seamus, the Romney dog that was strapped in a crate to the roof of the car on a family trip. Details of the trip, particularly the part where Seamus defecates all over the station wagon and is hosed down by Romney, have dogged the former Massachusetts governor since 2007. A sweater-vested Santorum appears here in the role of Seamus.
