‘Small but mighty’: Ukrainian soldiers rescue puppy they call ‘Rambo’

As war in Ukraine continues, a puppy rescued by Ukrainian soldiers is being called their guardian and protector.

A video on social media shows the puppy, named Rambo, walking around a Ukrainian trench with the soldiers.

“He is our security. That is his job,” one of the soldiers said in the video posted by FreedomNewsTV. “He can hear very well if there is a stranger nearby.”

“Rambo is doing a good job! Best doggo,” another soldier said. “Small but mighty, one might say. Fear the mighty Rambo!”

Rambo is not alone, with the soldiers also caring for a few other dogs.

“The dogs, they come as guards. They help us,” a soldier said.

The dogs give something for the soldiers to smile about despite the difficulties and tragedies that come with warfare.

“Missing home of course,” a soldier said. “Been here for a little too long now.”
