Obama enjoys BBQ in Kansas

After a rousing speech at Osawatomie High School in Kansas on Tuesday, President Obama stopped by the “We B Smokin'” barbecue restaurant located at the Miami County Airport in the town of Paola, Kan., where he participated in a festive “eat n’ greet” with locals. There he was joined by former Kansas governor and current Health and Human Services SecretaryKathleen Sebelius, as well as White House Trip Director Marvin Nicholson — who purchased some barbecue for the ride home. Obama stayed for about ten minutes, posing for photos with employees and patrons, and he promised the restaurant’s employees that he’d write a letter recommending their food. There’s no word on the White House’s website about what the president actually ordered, but the restaurant specializes in apple wood smoked barbecue, with the slogan, “where sticky fingers are a good thing!”
