National Public Radio has jumped into the fray of White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner eve parties, inviting folks to the Gibson Guitar Showroom for a Friday night fete. NPR’s “Friday Night Spin,” is music-themed and will feature music by Solange (that’s Beyonce’s sister), according to the invite. This new Friday party comes after the announcement two weeks ago that the Hollywood Reporter and Google would be partnering up and throwing a gathering that Friday, April 27. The jam packed party night also includes a shindig at the St. Regis hosted by People and Time Magazine. We hear actress Rosario Dawson will once again be hosting an “Emerging Voices in Media” party. And Yeas & Nays has confirmed that Funny or Die, Impact Arts + Film Fund, the Atlantic and National Journal are bringing back last year’s late night favorite, the First Amendment party, as well.
