Cruz: Dems should ‘fall to their knees and pray’ before Iran deal vote

Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz said Wednesday that he hopes Democratic lawmakers “fall to their knees and pray” before considering a vote in favor of President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.

“I want Senate Democrats to fall to their knees and pray right before voting for this deal,” the Texas senator told crowds at the U.S. Capitol Wednesday in a massive protest against the Iran deal.

“I want them to look into the eyes of those whose children will be murdered by jihadists,” Cruz continued.

“If you send millions of dollars [to Iran] then you bear direct responsibility for the murders carried out with the dollars you’ve given,” he said, before adding that Democrats “cannot wash the hands of that blood.”

Cruz concluded his remarks by telling the crowd that if Iran will not stop its nuclear program, “we will stop it for them.”
