NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A 7-0 vote by New Orleans’ City Council brings one of the city’s favorite confections closer to a comeback.

Thursday’s vote approved a permit for Hubig’s Pies to establish a bakery in the city’s Marigny (MEHR’-ih-nee) neighborhood, blocks from where a fire last July gutted the building that housed Hubig’s since 1921.
