Trump’s new whitehouse.gov takes on ‘the rioter, the looter, the violent disruptor’

As rioters overrun K Street (the Franklin Square area, to be precise), smash bus shelters and set Washington Examiner newspaper boxes on fire, it’s worth noting that the Trump administration has quickly replaced all of the content on the White House website.

This includes the apparent deletion of everything related to global warming as some others have noticed, but more generally, it reflects Trump’s state priorities. True to his promises at convention to be a “law and order” president, the new whitehouse.gov features a special section on “standing up for our law enforcement community.”

Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, or the violent disrupter. Our job is to make life more comfortable for parents who want their kids to be able to walk the streets safely. Or the senior citizen waiting for a bus. Or the young child walking home from school.

The page goes on to promise to uphold gun rights and deport criminal aliens, and finishes up with, “President Donald Trump will fight for the safety of every American, and especially those Americans who have not known safe neighborhoods for a very long time.”
