Of course, political junkies are excited to see President Obama and Mitt Romney face off in their first presidential debate this Wednesday in Denver, but the White House hopefuls aren’t the only two scheduled for sparring.
The day before the debate, Dish Network will be hosting a debate between “the conservative” ex-Fox News personality Glenn Beck and “the progressive” former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer. That event, being called the War of the Words, will be livestreamed via Facebook, broadcast to Dish subscribers or can be viewed in person by those living in the Denver area.
Partisan rancor returns to Washington with a third debate this weekend, this time between “The Daily Show’s” Jon Stewart and Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly Saturday night at George Washington University. U Street bar Local 16 and the DC Social Media Club will be hosting a viewing party for those not lucky enough (or rich enough) to grab tickets to the real thing. Watch party tickets are free and interested attendees can sign up online as “Team Stewart” or “Team O’Reilly.”
