Sen. Al Franken got the jump, literally, on fellow Democrat Cory Booker on Thursday.
It was Booker’s 48th birthday Thursday. When he walked into a room where a surprise party was waiting, Franken jumped out from under a table to greet his colleague.
Booker didn’t seem too surprised in the video posted by Sen. Bob Menendez.

Later, in a separate video posted by Booker himself, he noted that Menedez, his fellow Democrat from New Jersey, has the “best” singing voice.”

Menendez then sang “Happy Birthday” in Spanish. Menendez is Cuban-American.
